At present, complete sets of rice milling equipment are mainly used in rice processing. However, in some mountainous areas where farmland is not very concentrated, due to low transportation and rice production, most farmers still use household rice mills. These household rice mills are small, lightweight, compact in layout, easy to use and maintain, and can process rice into ideal white rice in one go. Moreover, due to its low price, it is favored by farmers in both rural and urban areas. However, in practice, due to the unfamiliarity of some agricultural machinery maintenance outlets and farmers with the maintenance operations of small rice mills, the normal processing and production of small rice mills have been affected.

To solve the problem of difficult maintenance of rice mills, it is first necessary to understand the usage and maintenance knowledge of small rice mills. Only in this way can we effectively prevent the occurrence of faults and damage to parts. Taking the 6N-4B household rice mill as an example, let's discuss the three steps for the correct use of a household rice mill.

Three steps for the correct use of a household rice mill:

1. Installation inspection

(1). Household rice mills should be installed on a pre-prepared cement foundation. The bottom surface of a household rice mill should be in good contact with the foundation. There should be no gap before the anchor bolts are tightened to ensure the concentricity of the main shaft and the screen frame after the anchor bolts are tightened. If the foundation is uneven, causing the main shaft to be eccentric, various phenomena such as grains in the rice, broken rice, and uneven grinding of the sieve will occur.

(2) After tightening the V-belt connected to the motor (or diesel engine), remove the discharge port, roller nut, rollers, screen bars and propeller, and measure whether the main shaft is at the center. If the main shaft is found to be eccentric, it should be adjusted as follows:

A. Left and right eccentricity. Loosen the four connecting bolts between the blower housing and the rice mill base, but do not remove them. Add adjustment gaskets at the connection points. When tilting to the right, add gaskets on the right side; when tilting to the left, add adjustment gaskets on the left side until the left and right sides are adjusted.

b goes up. Loosen the four connecting bolts between the fan cover and the base of the rice mill, but do not remove them. At the same time, add adjusting gaskets on both sides until the upper and lower parts are not eccentric.

c, bend down. Loosen the four connecting bolts between the suction shell and the base of the rice mill, but do not remove them. At the same time, add adjusting shims on both sides until the top and bottom are not eccentric.

(3). As the bolts at each connection point of the rice mill may loosen during transportation, the newly purchased rice mill should pay attention to the following components

A. Check whether the two nuts that fix the large pulley on the shaft are tightened.

B. Remove the bearing covers at both ends of the large pulley, take off the locking parts, and check whether the nuts are tightly locked to fix the bushing.

C. Check whether the flat head bolts that fix the small pulleys of the suction fan and the spray fan on the shaft are tightened.

Check before starting a household rice mill

Before starting the machine, rotate the pulley by hand. There should be no jamming. Then, use a wrench to tighten the pulley again to prevent loosening during operation. There should be no severe vibration when starting the machine.

(2) Turn off the feeding plug, then connect the power supply. After normal operation, start feeding.

3. Adjustments during use

(1) Adjustment of feed flow rate.

When working, first pour the rice into the hopper, let it idle for about 5 minutes, then pull off all the baffles, tighten them with the fastening screws, and then turn the regulating handwheel to adjust the flow rate. Stop adjusting when the flow rate reaches the rated flow rate. The opening degree of the flow regulating plate can be indicated by the external pointer on the scale.

(2) Adjustment of rice yield accuracy.

The precision of the finished rice is determined by the compression spring of the resistance mechanism, and the spring pressure can be adjusted through the handwheel at the end of the spring. The operator can appropriately adjust the handwheel at the end of the spring according to the actual situation to reduce or increase the outlet pressure, so that the finished rice can meet the required precision.

In addition, it is necessary to adjust the position of the air volume control handle on the right side of the rice bucket to control the air volume. If the wind is too strong, the grains of rice will be sucked into the chaff. If the wind is too weak, the finished rice will contain bran. When in use, it can be appropriately adjusted according to the actual situation to completely separate the rice from the husk.
