On the contrary, if the inlet knife is turned down and the outlet knife is turned up, less rice will be stored in the rice milling chamber, the pressure will be lower, and the milled rice will be rougher.

Iii. Specific Adjustment Measures

(1) The adjustment gap between the rice cutter and the drum should be moderate. Generally, the gap should not be less than the lateral diameter of the rice grains; otherwise, it is easy for the rice grains to break. The gap should not be larger than the longitudinal diameter of the rice grain; otherwise, the rice grain will be rough. Therefore, the gap between the rice slicers should be selected between the longitudinal and transverse diameters of the rice grain. Generally, when actually adjusting the gap of the rice slicer, there should be a slight bevel, that is, the end of the knife near the outlet should be slightly larger, so that the polished rice will be more complete.

(2) The inlet knife and the outlet knife should be closely matched. The opening of the inlet knife is generally controlled at half of the entire opening, not exceeding two-thirds. During the rice milling process, it is generally not necessary to remove the inlet knife and fully open it. This is because when the inlet knife is fully open, too much grain accumulates, the pressure inside the rice milling chamber is too high, and the rotational resistance is large. If the outlet knife is not properly matched for a moment, The drive belt may slip, causing the machine to get stuck or damaged. The outlet knife should be flexibly controlled. When in use, after adjusting the gap between the rice knife and the inlet knife as per the regulations, it can be fixed. Generally, only the right hand of the robot is used to draw the knife, and the palm of the left hand is connected to the rice grain at the lower end of the outlet. Observe whether the rice grain is intact and whether the rice color is white. If there is a lot of broken rice, open the outlet knife. If the rice grains are rough, lower the outlet knife. During the rice milling process, both aspects should be taken into account, and the milling quality can meet the requirements.

Iv. Maintenance Matters

Rice processed by a household rice mill should maintain a certain degree of dryness, with a moisture content not exceeding 14% to 15%. When the moisture content of rice is too high, the grains will break, affecting the quality of the rice and increasing its consumption.

(2) Pay attention to checking whether there are any nails, stones or other debris in the rice of the household rice mill to prevent them from entering the rice milling room and causing blockage or damage to the rice sieve.
